Dr. Jana Mike evaluates pediatric innovation from the bedside, the lab, and the market.
As a Pediatric Intensive Care physician at UCSF and an NIH-funded physician-scientist, Dr. Mike works at the intersection of patient care, translational research, and early-stage innovation. Embedded within the pediatric ecosystem, she works alongside clinicians, researchers, and founders developing the next generation of pediatric technologies, providing early insight into emerging innovations, academic spinouts, and unmet clinical needs.
Her investment approach combines clinical insight with scientific rigor, evaluating not only whether an innovation works, but whether it addresses a meaningful clinical problem, can be adopted into clinical practice, and has the potential to improve outcomes at scale.
Prior to founding Fractal Pediatric Capital, Dr. Mike invested in companies including BillionToOne (IPO), Atomic Alchemy (acquired), and other venture-backed healthcare companies.
